Early life

Born in 1994.
From a young age, Felipe was interested in watchmaking. Seeing documentaries and admiring watches in the windows of jewelers further enhanced his love
At 13 years of age, Felipe is already assembling and disassembling watches in his household with basic household tools.
Through following his father, who was working on construction work Felipe swiftly becomes interested in handcraft
With his favorite subjects in school being physics and astronomy all those aspects combined watchmaking was the inevitable choice for Felipe

Felipe attended the German watchmaking school in Glashütte starting his education.
The teachers quickly showed his dedication to knowledge. Felipe continues to learn and practice with his teacher after the regular school hours.
The school gave Felipe the freedom to use the workshop also in his free time, so Felipe invested almost all his free time in practicing manual crafting techniques.

Felipe starts to work with Rolf Lang, the father of Marco Lang with a focus on research, development, and technical problem-solving.
Developing a hammer automatic and working on the creation of a skeletonized and hand-engraved timepiece, were his main projects.
Rolf Lang provides Felipe with valuable knowledge including intensifying his technical knowledge and how to craft things manually.

After his time in Glashütte Felipe decided to move back to his home town Berlin. He starts to work in high-end repair for watches of prestigious brands.
Simultaneously Felipe develops his workshop in his living room with his savings. He starts to work on a piece unique for a friend. Subsequently, his work is recognized among friends and he gets more inquiries on unique pieces.

Felipe decides to take his work to the next step and launches the brand Felipe Pikullik.
With the launch of the brand, he introduced the „Prius Collectio“ which included five fully skeletonized models each one of them following a specific design theme.

Felipe continues to work on unique pieces selling his pieces locally through the spread of mouth.

After his first collection including only skeleton pieces Felipe introduced the first model with a closed dial the ZBM1

Launching the Sternenhimmel model on Instagram gets Felipe international recognition.

Following the Sternenhimmel success Felipe starts hiring and teaching upcoming watchmakers and artisans.

Introducing the Mondphase - the first 3D moon with a handmade complication. The moon phase is a big step forward in the development of the brand indicating the way wants to head into the future. Introducing complications, focusing on artisanship and handcraft, and following traditional teachings.

In 2023 the FP team grew to a total of 12 people. Felipe’s long-term vision is to build a manufacturer full of expertise with knowledge from skilled artisans and watchmakers.

With the success of the moon phase one resulting in the nomination of the GPHG award, we are looking forward to our next moon phase release including the newly developed moon phase. Going forward at Felipe Pikullik we want to concentrate on creating new complications, with the focus always being to do it with the traditional approach in mind. Our long-term vision is to build a team of fully skilled watchmakers and engage further in the manual hand-crafted approach.
