The standout feature of the Moonphase One Meteorite is its exquisite dial, crafted from  authentic Gibeon meteorite, which fell to Earth on the ancient continent of Laramidia  approximately 80 million years ago. This remarkable material distinguishes the Moonphase  One from other models, merging a rich history with refined elegance.

Launched in 2020, the Moonphase project was initiated by Felipe, who recognized a  significant gap in the market for 3D moon phase complications. Motivated by this insight, he  embarked on a journey to handcraft a 3D moon phase using traditional techniques and  manually operated tools—an exceptional approach in modern production.

Our unwavering commitment to traditional watchmaking is evident in our meticulous  methods, which go beyond design and finishing. Following the resounding success of the  inaugural Moonphase, we are proud to present this extraordinary iteration, showcasing  innovative advancements that redefine horological artistry.

The dial of the Felipe Pikullik "Mondphase One Meteorite" is a true masterpiece, crafted  from authentic Gibeon meteorite, which fell to Earth over 80 million years ago in Laramidia,  now part of western North America. This extraordinary material boasts a textured surface  that captures and reflects light in ever-changing patterns, ensuring that each glance at the  watch offers a unique experience.

The heat-treated chapter ring and hands exhibit a striking blue-purple gradient, beautifully  enhancing the open-worked gear system with exquisitely beveled edges. Hand-engraved  details, including "Felipe Pikullik" and "In Berlin gefertigt," provide a personal touch. The  prominent moon phase display at 9 o’clock completes the design with elegance and celestial  charm, embodying the perfect fusion of artistry and innovation.

The Moonphase movement embodies our most intricate achievement, not only due to the  complexity of the complication but also because of our unwavering commitment to  handcrafted excellence. The base movement undergoes meticulous enhancements, including  precise adjustments to the main plate to seamlessly accommodate the complication. This  process demands exceptional precision, as even the slightest imperfection can compromise  the final outcome.

The Moonphase movement showcases advanced beveling techniques, with the most  challenging aspect being the intermediate beveling within a single bridge, skillfully creating  the illusion of two distinct parts. The highly skeletonized movement features stunning  sandblasted black rhodium-plated bridges that contrast beautifully with the mirror-polished  beveling, highlighting the artistry and innovation of our craftsmanship.

How it started

The moon phase project started back in 2020. At that time, Felipe identified an absence of 3D moon phase complications in the market. Motivated by this observation, Felipe embarked on the endeavor of creating one himself. His aspiration was not only to design a 3D moon phase but also to handcraft it. Employing solely traditional hand-crafting techniques and aided by manually operated tools, Felipe set out to craft gears and components. On a production scale that is a very unusual and rare approach.

Our commitment to preserving the ethos of traditional watchmaking is executed through our production methods and not only by design and finishing.

Following the sell-out success of the first moon phase, we are currently developing two new iterations. These include a variant featuring a meteorite dial for the Moon Phase One, and the Moon Phase 2, a completely new timepiece with exciting innovations.
